Sherilyn Johnson

Physical Education / Teacher Aide

Born and raised south of Atlanta, Sherilyn developed a love for music and physical fitness at an early age. With six younger sisters to scheme and create with, she spent many hours after completing studies for the day making athletic courses through the woods and creating figure skating routines with roller skates. After completing several music studies at various music schools around the country, including Brenau University, she received a B.A. in Music from Farrington University. Her love for fitness continued after assisting in PE club for homeschoolers with her children from 2012 to 2018 and continuing to explore her own personal fitness. She completed courses in 2020 and holds certifications for barre instruction. Having been home educated herself, she and her husband Matt chose to do the same with their four children, which eventually led them to the beauty of classical education in 2015. She taught in her Classical Conversations community and then God led her family to Stonehaven in 2018. Sherilyn enjoys taking barre classes, running with Stonehaven XC, reading historical fiction, and designing cakes.

Natasha Myrick

Drama

Natasha Myrick graduated from University of Central Missouri in 2012, where she studied classical music for five years with an emphasis in vocal performance and cello. She was a part of scholarship choirs, orchestras, and other various vocal ensembles. After being a part of several mission trips abroad and stateside, God shifted her path and her focus to earn a degree in Religious Studies. Earning a Religious Studies degree from a liberal arts university was challenging, but also grew her faith and her love for spreading the Gospel even more. After graduating, Natasha taught music and choir at two different Christian schools in Missouri. In her spare time, Natasha was often behind the scenes as music/vocal director at various community and children’s theatres. In 2019, God called Natasha and her husband to Atlanta to pursue careers in the entertainment industry. When Natasha isn't teaching, she is honing her skills and auditioning for various opportunities as a singer, actress, and model. She and her husband are active members at The Church of the Apostles and enjoy hiking with their Siberian Husky, Maverick, trying out new coffee shops, and spending time with friends. Natasha is grateful for the opportunity to pour into the students of Stonehaven while sharing her love of music, worship, and the arts.

An avid home cook and baker, she completed a Baking and Pastry course at L'Academie de Cuisine culinary school, and she continues to explore sustaining and celebratory foodways among her family and community. She loves to read at the intersection of food and faith, and is thankful for the opportunity to explore these ideas with Stonehaven students.
